Scaly lorikeets are usually in flocks along side Rainbow Lorikeets.
Length about 25 cm, weight about 115 grams, a bit smaller in size than the rainbow.
They are green with yellow mottled feathers on their chests that resemble scales.

They sometimes inter breed with the Rainbow Lorikeets and the young have both
the rainbow colors and mottled chest feathers.

Their characteristics are the same as Rainbow Lorikeets.
